Stevie Kay Hockett, LMFT (TEMP), NCC

Stevie Kay works with individuals and couples navigating a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, and communication issues. She also has experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.  Stevie Kay utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. C. S. Lewis wrote “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” Stevie Kay’s goal is to provide a space where individuals can process their past experiences and begin their healing journey.

Stevie Kay earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University with a Certificate in Marriage and Family therapy as well as Christian sex therapy. She holds an undergraduate degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Stevie Kay is a Nationally Certified Counselor and is currently pursuing licensure in Tennessee as a Marital and Family Therapist.

When not working, she can be found spending time with her husband and two small children. Stevie Kay enjoys being in nature, baking sweet treats, creating crafts with her kids and playing board games. Her favorite thing to do is conversate around a fire on a crisp Fall night.
