Residents At Scout
For a clinician to be a licensed by the state, they must complete anywhere from 1000 to 1500 addition hours of supervised clinical work within a two to three year period, in addition to passing one if not two national exams. In many cases, clinicians are either working in highly demanding, stressful settings to obtain these hours as provisionally licensed clinicians. These clinicians may end up being worked severely, poorly developed, and burned out. Others may end up in private practice, but have little oversight or direction to allow them to develop.
Residents at Scout are treated quite differently a variety of ways. Residents are given opportunities to grow in specialties of their interest, a great deal of direct oversight of their work, including one to two hours per week of direct supervision along with video review of their sessions. While these clinicians are not yet fully licensed by the state, at Scout, we can assure you that our clinicians that are currently in the residency program are undergoing a significant amount of training, development, and oversight to provide their clients the best quality of care at an affordable rate and accessible hours.
